Lemon Ice Cream recipe

This recipe yields 2 quarts.


3 medium eggs
1 ¼ cups sugar
6 cups milk
1 cup cream
1 tablespoon lemon flavoring
1 tablespoon vanilla extract


Beat eggs until light.

Add sugar; beat until smooth.

Add milk, cream, and lemon flavoring; mix well.

Add vanilla; mix well.

Transfer mixture to ice cream machine. When the desired consistency is reached, remove the paddle and pack the ice cream in salt and ice mixture.
